What’s inside
Drawn from more than four decades of pastoral ministry, The Secrets of A Good Marriage is Pastor Melkamu Negeri's warm, scriptural guide for husbands and wives — and for anyone preparing to build a home that lasts.
Pastor Melkamu calls the book a “first aid” resource: a place to turn whether you are getting ready for marriage, raising children, weathering a storm, or rebuilding after one. With honesty and compassion, he walks through God's design for the family, the work of choosing a partner well, the realities of divorce and the path to reconciliation, the modern pressures bearing down on families, and the practical, daily habits that keep love whole.
It is the fruit of a lifetime of counsel — couples restored, families made whole — offered now so that yours can be too.

About Pastor Melkamu Negeri
Pastor Melkamu Negeri is an ordained minister who has faithfully served the church for more than forty years. Born in rural Western Oromia, he was the youngest of seven children in a farming family; like his eldest brother before him, he was called to the ministry.
In October 1995 he came to the United States with his family through the DV-95 diversity visa lottery, settling in Minnesota. There he became lead pastor of Our Redeemer Oromo Evangelical Church, helping grow it into the largest Oromo congregation in the diaspora and one of the largest immigrant congregations in the ELCA. He retired from active ministry in 2018, leaving a lasting legacy of leadership, faith, and service.
